Security Solutions: LifeLock and TrustedID
It's simple. Many people are either too intimidated by the whole process of contacting the credit bureaus, or too busy to address it. This is where LifeLock and TrustedID comes in. They use a combination of Fraud Alerts and Security Freezes to lock a consumer's credit report, using Security Freezes in states that permit it, and Fraud Alerts otherwise. And since Fraud Alerts are only good for 90 days (without a police report), they'll simply renew the alert every 90 days.
LifeLock™
LifeLock charges $10 per month or $110 annually for enrollment. Kids are charged only $2.50 per month or $25 annually. Click to learn more about LifeLock .
BestCredit™ buyers get a 10% discount if they click the LifeLock "Protect Your Identity" image below the search bar on the right side of this page!
TrustedID™
TrustedID's charges are a bit more than LifeLock, charging $12.95 per month or $109.95 annually. Click to learn more about TrustedID .
Personally, I prefer LifeLock. It's cheaper by the month and they have a special discount for kids. They also permit cancellation at any time, even if you've prepaid for the year.
